This Code of Conduct outlines the expected standards of professionalism, integrity, and behaviour for freelance poker players who connect with opportunities using the services of Global Poker Staff Ltd of 3 Southdown Close, Stockport, SK41LB, United Kingdom (“Global Poker Staff”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By participating in events and engaging with others in this capacity, you agree to follow these guidelines. Failure to do so may impact future opportunities.
Professional Conduct at Events
As a freelance poker player, your conduct reflects on your reputation and the broader community. Please adhere to the following:
- Be Respectful: Treat event staff, other players, spectators, and clients with courtesy and respect. Avoid any form of harassment, discriminatory comments (including those about playing style or perceived luck), offensive language, or disrespectful behaviour.
- Follow Event Rules: Strictly adhere to all rules and guidelines set by the event organisers. This includes game rules, etiquette, dress codes (if any), and instructions from tournament officials.
- Be Punctual and Reliable: Arrive on time for scheduled games or commitments. If you've agreed to participate in an event, ensure you are available. If something unexpected prevents your participation, notify the relevant parties as soon as possible. Repeated issues with punctuality or reliability may affect future opportunities.
- Play Fair: Uphold the integrity of the game at all times. Play honestly and according to the rules of poker. Cheating, colluding with others, or any unethical play is strictly prohibited and will have serious consequences.
- Maintain Composure: Keep a professional and composed demeanour at the table. Avoid excessive displays of emotion, aggressive behaviour, or actions that could disrupt the game or make others uncomfortable.
Integrity and Honesty
Honesty and integrity are crucial for building trust and maintaining a positive reputation:
- Represent Yourself Accurately: Be truthful about your playing experience, skills, and the stakes you typically play. Misrepresenting your abilities can lead to negative consequences.
- Communicate Honestly: Be clear and truthful in your communications regarding your availability, commitments, and any issues that may arise with event organisers or those offering opportunities.
- Use Opportunities Responsibly: Engage with opportunities in a professional and ethical manner.

- Maintain Hygiene: Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene.

Certain behaviours are unacceptable and will not be tolerated:
- Cheating and Collusion: Any form of cheating, working with other players to gain an unfair advantage, or manipulating the game is strictly forbidden.
- Harassment and Discrimination: All forms of harassment and discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, disability, skill level, or any other protected characteristic are prohibited.
